BOISE & TCU SHOULD GET MORE RESPECT

I am tired of the BCS and the so called experts disregarding teams like Boise St & TCU. They should be 2 & 3 at best and no lower than 4 at worst. Yet schools from the SEC get too much respect for the wins they get and BOISE and TCU not enough for the wins they get. I would love nothing more than to see the two teams play for the National Championship.

Platunum Players All-Star Game Challenges Shrine Bowl

On Saturday December 19, 209 there will be another game in town as the upsart Platinums Players All-Star Game takes the field for the first time with players representing the six county area (Guilford, Forsyth, Alamance, Rockingham, Randolph, Davidson). This game is an alternative to the ultra political Shrne Bowl in that it will allow some very good players from the area and some wild card players from other areas of the State who were shunned by the Shrine Bowl. Event Coordinators are committed to making this game a ficture evenn though they don’t have support from the powers that be. Year in and year out some of the best performers in the State, especially the ones from this area are left off the team without real explaniation. We feel this will be an oportunity for them to get the recognition and exposure that they deserve for the performance that they put forth. Details about the players and the where abouts of the game will be coming shortly. So Stay tuned.

Is It Time For John Fox to Go?

With the Panther’s opening up 0-3 and showing no signs of getting better, has the John Fox era run its course?  Or should John Fox cut his loyalties to Jake and show everyone that he is willing to do what evers necessary to win including trying something new.

To John Fox’s defense the Panther upper brass never should have given Delhomme the kind of money that they gave him last year.  So now they are stuck with him.  But it seems that John Fox is doomed because of the decisions of upper management.

High School Football is Heating Up

High School football in North Carolina is heating up… and some of the usual schools are rising to the top of the heap.

In the 4-A division Dudley High School has stepped up and become a force to be reconed with.  They are moving up from 3-AA where they were the two time defending State Champions.

Also in 4-A Page High school is representing the Triad Metro 4-A well and has become a threat to all they play.

Staying in the Metro 4-A Smith High School may be the most improved team not only in the area but in the State. Coach Brewington has Smith winning deep in the season for the first time in 10 years.  GO EAGLES!!

In the 3-A division there is no better team than Ragsdale they are atop the 3-A State rankings and don’t look to be in any trouble of falling.

In 2-A Reidsville like Ragsdale is just a jaugernaut and I don’t see anyone beating them.

Thomasville, the perrenial power in 1-A, welcome to 2-A football.  ALthough they still have a good team, what I have said for years is coming to fruition, that is when they step up people will see that they are not as good as some of the other teams on the area.

Aggie Football Is Back

People believe me when I say this, under the leadership od AD Wheeler Brown the NCA&T Athletic Department is moving in the right direction,  That direction is back to the top as an elite member of the MEAC.

Additionally, under the leadership of Head Coach Alonzo Lee the Aggie football team is well on its way to rebuilding the legacy that Aggie Football has developed over the years.  Prepare yourself for the return.
